Bernadette McCauley talks on the role of Irish-American women religious in developing NYC hospitals

BernadetteMcCauley.jpg  Professor Bernadette McCauley, Hunter College, CUNY, speaks on the founding and development of Catholic hospitals in New York City and the key role played by women religious in this development from the famine era to the early twentieth century based on her book, Who Shall Take Care of Our Sick?, published by Johns Hopkins Press in 2005.
