The Inaugural Irish Institute of New York Lecture: Dr. Diarmuid Martin, Archbishop of Dublin, speaks on "New Ireland, New Church?"

Funding to endow this lecture series has been generously granted by the Irish Institute of New York, a philanthropic group that marked its fiftieth anniversary in 2000.

The inaugural lecture will be delivered by the Archbishop of Dublin, Dr. Diarmuid Martin, who will speak on "New Ireland, New Church?", a consideration of the rapid changes in Ireland’s economy and society over the past decade and the challenges and opportunities for the clergy and laity of the Catholic Church in fostering a just and civil society with respect for tradition, faith and values.
